For Internet Explorer 6 access:
Open IE6 and type the following in the address field:
ftp://username@hostname
Replace 'username' with your accounts username and 'hostname' with the hostname assigned to your account. Your hostname is either mnsconnect.com or mnsconnect1.com . So if for example your username was jdoe and your hostname was mnsconnect.com you would type:
ftp://jdoe@mnsconnect.com
Once you have entered this in the address field press enter. You will be prompted with a username and password box. Ensure your username and password are entered correctly then press the Log on button.
Once you are logged in you will see a blank white page, this means you are successfully connected to your account. To initiate a file transfer simply drag and drop your files in and out of the browser window.
For Internet Explorer 7 access:
Open IE 7, and type the following in the address field:
ftp://hostname
So, if your hostname is mnsconnect.com, you would type: ftp://mnsconnect.com IE7 will display a directory listing of the FTP site. Click the Page menu (hint: it’s on the right hand side, under the search bar) Select Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer. Windows explorer opens. Click the File menu and select Login As…. Enter your user name and password, and click the Log On button.
In order to see the Page menu option mentioned above, you need to enable the Advanced option “Enable FTP Folder View (Outside of Internet Explorer). To enable this in IE7 navigate to Tools->Internet Options->Advanced(tab) and make sure it is checked.
