Make sure you are using an active connection, not a passive one. Here are instructions on how to set it up.
In Internet Explorer, go to the tools menu, under advanced, scroll down and uncheck the use passive connection spot.
In our ftp software, under the ftp settings button, then under the connection tab, make sure passive is not checked.
Other ftp software has similar settings to adjust.
